Why you are here

What patients from the UK
ask us before they book.

These are the four questions that come up in almost every message. All of them have straight answers.

I put my hand over my mouth when I smile in photographs. When the smile line and tooth proportions are corrected, the first thing that changes is your reflex.
I keep whitening my teeth but the colour comes back. If the colour sits deep in the tooth rather than on the surface, there is a limit to what whitening can reach. A veneer changes the colour permanently.
I'm afraid of my teeth being cut down. Only a very thin layer is taken from the outermost surface. The healthy inner part of the tooth is not touched.
I don't want that fake, over-white look. The design is built around your face, your lips and your smile — not a ready-made template.

How we work

We don't guess the result.
We show it first.

None of the four stages is skipped. Nothing moves to the next step without your approval.

01Records and analysis

Photographs, video and a 3D scan of your teeth are taken. What suits your face is worked out from these.

02Try-in

The designed smile is placed temporarily over your teeth. Without a single tooth being touched you see it, talk and take photos.

03Preparation

After your approval, 0.3–0.5 mm is removed from the outer surface. That is the room the veneer needs to sit in.

04Bonding

Thin porcelain layers made for you are bonded to the teeth. They transmit light like natural enamel, so they are not noticeable.

Process

One trip to Istanbul.
About 5–7 days.

Before you travel Assessment and plan

Send photographs of your smile on WhatsApp. You receive a treatment plan and a written, itemised quote before you book flights.

Day 1 Examination and digital records

Your teeth, gums and bite are checked and a digital scan is taken — no putty impressions. Your smile design begins the same day.

Day 2 · try-in You see it before it happens

The designed smile is placed temporarily over your teeth. You look, talk, photograph it — and change anything you want. Nothing proceeds without your approval.

Day 3–4 Preparation and temporaries

0.3–0.5 mm is removed from the outer surface and temporary veneers are fitted while your porcelain is made in the laboratory.

Day 5–7 Bonding and final checks

Your porcelain veneers are bonded, the bite is adjusted and everything is polished. You fly home with the treatment complete.

After you are home Follow-up

We stay reachable on WhatsApp and assess photographs quickly if anything needs attention.

Travel & stay

You fly in.
We handle the rest.

The treatment is the part you should be thinking about — not how to get from the airport. Here is exactly how a trip works.

01Before you travel

Send photographs, and any X-rays you have, on WhatsApp. You get an assessment, a treatment plan and a written itemised quote — all before you book a single flight.

02Flights

You are free to book your own flights. If you would rather not, tell us your preferred dates and we will help you find suitable connections.

03Arrival and transfers

From the moment you land, every transfer is arranged by us: airport to your hotel, hotel to the clinic each day, and back to the airport when you leave.

04Where you stay

If you would like help with accommodation we arrange a hotel close to the clinic, so appointments are a short ride away rather than a journey across Istanbul.

Specialist in prosthodontics and aesthetic dentistry (DDS, PhD). His practice is built on touching the natural tooth as little as possible. At KY Clinic every treatment is planned digitally first, and nothing is carried out before you have seen the result.

“What makes a smile successful is not its colour, but how little you had to touch the tooth to get there.”

the try-in appointment.

I sent photographs from Manchester on a Tuesday and had a clear plan back the same day. Nothing was vague.

Frequently asked

Questions patients ask

Will a lot of my tooth be cut away?
No. Only 0.3–0.5 mm is taken from the outermost surface — roughly the thickness of three sheets of paper. The aim is to make room for the veneer, not to shrink the tooth. In some cases nothing needs to be removed at all. We show you exactly how much during the try-in.
What is the difference between composite bonding and porcelain veneers?
Composite is shaped directly onto the tooth in the mouth. It is done in one appointment and can be removed whenever you like, but it may discolour over time and lasts 3–5 years. Porcelain veneers are made for you in a laboratory and bonded on: stain resistant, light transmitting, 10 years and beyond. Which one suits you is decided together, based on your teeth and what you want.
Is it painful? Do I need anaesthetic?
Because only the outer surface is touched, local anaesthetic is enough for most people and pain afterwards is not expected. Any sensitivity usually settles within a few days. No anaesthetic is needed for the design or try-in appointments.
Can I see the result before we start?
Yes, and this is the most important step. Once designed, the smile is placed temporarily over your teeth. Without a single tooth being touched you see it in the mirror, talk and smile. Nothing proceeds until you approve it.
How many teeth need doing?
It depends on how many show when you smile. Usually 6, 8 or 10 upper teeth. Cases with only 2 exist too. The right number becomes clear at the examination — we never touch more teeth than necessary.
How many trips will I need, and how long is each one?
Veneers are usually completed in a single trip of about 5–7 days. Implants normally need two trips: a short first visit for placement, then roughly three months of healing at home, then a second visit to fit the teeth. Your exact plan is confirmed before you book anything.
Who arranges flights, transfers and the hotel?
You can book your own flights, or we can help you choose suitable dates. From the moment you land every transfer is arranged by us — airport to hotel, hotel to clinic and back again. If you would like help with accommodation, we arrange a hotel near the clinic.
What happens if there is a problem after I fly home?
We stay reachable on WhatsApp and assess photographs quickly. Minor adjustments can often be handled by a dentist near you with our written instructions; if something needs our hands, we arrange your return visit.
How do I know it is safe?
Treatment is carried out by Dr. Kürşat Yılmaz (DDS, PhD), a specialist in prosthodontics, using the same protocols and materials used in the UK. Every case is planned digitally before treatment and you see the plan before you commit.
What will it cost?
You receive a written, itemised quote before you book any travel, based on your photographs and X-rays. It does not change unless the clinical plan changes. We never quote before we have seen your case.
