A titanium root is placed where the tooth is missing, and a ceramic tooth made for you is fixed on top. The healthy teeth beside it are never touched — nothing is cut down as it would be for a bridge.

Why you are here

The four things
our English-speaking patients say.

None of them is vanity. Every one has a real effect on daily life — and every one can be solved.

My tooth was taken out months ago and I chew on one side only. The longer a gap stays, the more the neighbouring teeth tilt into it and the opposing tooth drifts down. Planning early keeps every step simpler.
I don't want healthy teeth cut down for a bridge. You are right to think so. With an implant the neighbouring teeth are untouched — the missing tooth carries its own titanium root.
My denture moves and I can't trust it when I eat. A fixed restoration on implants ends taking things in and out. Your teeth stay put and you brush them like your own.
The idea of implant surgery worries me. It is done under local anaesthetic and most patients find it more comfortable than an extraction. A single implant usually takes 20 minutes.

How we work

We don't leave the result to chance.
We plan it first.

None of the four stages is skipped. The position of your implant is decided on a computer before you sit in the chair.

01CT scan and planning

A 3D scan measures the height and thickness of your bone. The implant's position, angle and length are planned digitally.

02Placement

The implant is placed under local anaesthetic. A single implant usually takes 20 minutes.

03Healing

The implant fuses with the bone in about 3 months. A temporary tooth is fitted so no gap shows.

04Ceramic tooth

Once healing is complete a digital impression is taken and your custom ceramic tooth is fixed onto the implant.

Making the right choice

A bridge, or an implant?

Both replace a missing tooth. So you can choose knowing the difference:

BridgeImplant
How long it takes1–2 weeks20 min to place; ceramic tooth ~3 months later
Neighbouring teethTwo healthy teeth are cut downUntouched
Jaw boneBone in the gap shrinks over timeActs as a root, keeps the bone working
CleaningNeeds special floss underneathBrushed like your own tooth
Lifespan7–10 years20+ years; the implant itself often for life
If it failsThe whole bridge is remadeOnly the tooth on top is replaced
If you lose more teethA longer new bridge is neededAnother implant can simply be added
Best suited toThose who prefer to avoid surgeryAnyone wanting a long-lasting, independent tooth

Process

From first message
to a fixed tooth: ~3 months.

Day 0 · 20 min Free first assessment

Send a panoramic X-ray if you have one, otherwise a photograph of your smile, on WhatsApp. Implant or bridge, or bone work first — you get a first opinion the same day.

Day 1 · 20 min CT scan and planning

A 3D scan is taken and your bone height and thickness are measured. The number of implants, their position and the full timetable become clear — no surprises.

Week 1 · 20 min Placement

The implant is placed under local anaesthetic. If it is in a visible area a temporary tooth is planned the same day — you do not walk around with a gap.

Month ~3 Healing check

We wait for the implant to fuse with the bone. A short appointment confirms it is solid.

Month 3 · 2 visits Fitting the ceramic tooth

A digital impression is taken and your custom ceramic tooth is fixed onto the implant. Reviews follow at 1 week and 6 months.

Frequently asked

Questions patients ask

Is the procedure painful?
It is carried out under local anaesthetic; you feel pressure rather than pain. Most patients describe it as more comfortable than having a tooth out. Any tenderness in the days afterwards settles with ordinary painkillers.
Can my body reject an implant?
Implants are made of titanium, which the body tolerates extremely well; allergic reaction is very rare. What people call rejection is failure to fuse, and it is uncommon — smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and poor hygiene raise the risk. A failed implant is removed and, once healed, a new one can be placed.
My bone has shrunk. Can I still have implants?
Usually yes. Missing bone can be rebuilt with a graft, and in the upper jaw a sinus lift can create room. We never say no before a CT scan — the honest answer comes from a 3D measurement.
How long will it last and how do I care for it?
With regular care the implant itself often lasts for life; the ceramic tooth on top may be renewed over the years. Daily brushing, floss and a check-up every six months are enough. An implant cannot decay, but the gum around it must stay healthy.
I have diabetes. Can I have an implant?
With well-controlled diabetes implants can be placed safely. Your blood sugar values and medication are taken into account during planning, and we coordinate with your physician where needed.
Do you speak English at the clinic?
Yes. Your consultation, treatment plan and all follow-up are in English — including messages on WhatsApp. You will never need to bring someone to translate.
Where is the clinic and how do I get there?
We are in Etiler, Beşiktaş on the European side of Istanbul, a short ride from Levent metro. The exact address and a map link are sent with your appointment confirmation.
How does payment work?
You receive a written, itemised quote before treatment begins and it does not change unless the clinical plan changes. We tell you clearly what is included.
